I spent some time redesigning SecondComic.com and I think it looks good. Right now we have a cute banner we made using the cool flash app over at faceyourmanga.com, which is really cool. If you see any bugs or something that isn’t quite right (I already know this layout doesn’t work in IE7), let me know by commenting or leaving me an email on Freddy at Secondcomic.com.

I’m actually posting this on Chrome right now, the new browser from Google. It doesn’t have the functionality or ease of use that Firefox does but so far I’m really liking it, to the point where it has actually become my new default browser. Everything seems to load much faster in it because of the webkit they use for rendering and javascript is smooth and silky. Just wish they would add more to it and get it finished already.

We’ve finally decided on a stable update schedule for the comic. It will now update every weekend (as in, sometime between Friday night and Sunday night). We’d love to update more than once a week but, well, we’re procrastinators. I kid…sorta. To make up for this whole once-a-week deal, we’ve decided to post up a few journal entries and short stories throughout the week that will reveal some details about the setting and past events. I know, I know, we could’ve just written out an about page (if you haven’t checked out our about page, please do so. It’s pure brilliance), but we thought having you guys piece everything together (like the main characters will have to do) would be so much more agonizing fun.

New page is up! I know, I know, we took our sweet time to upload the next page and it’s not even interesting. Well, except for my name, all nice and big…that’s purty interesting methinks *coughs*.

Well we promise that this will be the last page of the blue-haired guy spacing out/daydreaming since we had to get to that whole plot thing eventually. Starting with the next page we’ll be hittin’ some good ol’ blood, violence and all sorts of good things, so don’t leave yet!

Some of you (well, okay, one of you) asked us what the frak was going on, so we figured it was time to update the old character page and to actually put up a summary of sorts of the plot. No, it’s not up yet, but for everyone’s sake it will be up there soon! We also know we promised a world map but the writer (who had drawn it) forgot it in his place in England (he’s now in Miami) so we won’t have any access to it for a while.

I’ll kick him for you.

Hiya folks! Artist here. Just wanted to let the odd one or two daily readers know that the comic’s not dead! I went into hardcore study mode due to finals and the writer kept me from seeing the script of the next page until exams were over (blame him, not me! >:D). We did get around to developing the plot and the characters quite a bit though and I’ll be posting some teaser images of upcoming characters soon (as well as some nifty wallpapers, a world map in the works, character bios and an actual plot synopsis). In the meantime, meet Aurell:

Also, I’d really love some input on the art (if you’re too shy to post for all to see, just e-mail me). I’m brand spankin’ new to Photoshop and I’m bound to make things look completely retarded. So feel free to throw any suggestions (especially Photoshop tips!) and critiques my way =)

Okay, so it’s not terribly different… but, the site does look 100x better in my opinion. I don’t really have much to say other than that, this post is also a test post as well as a “zomg new layout” post.

The new layout also works perfectly in both Firefox and Ie7. I’ve not tried Opera (or any other browser for that matter) yet, so let me know if you get problems and you’ll receive my deepest sympathies .

Okay, because our old Message Board script sucked rotten eggs, I’m going to be integrating WordPress with a Message board system called Vanilla, which I really like the look of. So expect that in the nigh future.
